Updates and Pics

I have now heard from numerous people that I need to post more pictures. I have taken heed. I’ve just added some great pics to the Snacking post from a couple days ago. I’m still dreaming about those fish and chips.
Here are some other recent pics:
Cathedral Coves on the East Coast of the North Island.

Cathedral Cove was an amazing beach that we stopped at with the Stray tour. There are enormous structures there that have been widdled away by the ocean over time. Very cool. Water was rather chilly too.

Liz with an Angora Bunny.

Apparently, real angora only comes from angora rabbits. Any other animal is not true angora. This little guy’s name was Buster, or Bugs, or something like that. He was at the shed to be sheared the day we stopped through. You wouldn’t believe how much hair was on the little guy until you could see it all in a clump after shearing.

As of today we are officially done with the organized tour part of our adventure. We’re sitting in Wellington right now dealing with the fiercest winds I have ever encountered. Tomorrow morning we’re going to jump on a ferry that will take us to the South Island and we’ll head out on our own until Madeline arrives next week. Then our trio will take off for 19 days of intense touring over the whole of the south island and get in some much anticipated skiing. After that, Liz and I will try to find an awesome little town to stop in for a couple months where we’ll start working and saving up for the next round of our adventure.
